Jesus Aguilar Named To 2015 Triple A Postseason Allstar Team

 

The Clippers’ 1B/DH Jesus Aguilar was named to the 2015 postseason all-star team this morning. The roster is voted upon by a panel of managers,coaches,media, and club reps. Aguilar is batting .261 with 83 runs batted in. He is also the league’s top fielding first baseman. Jesus has only committed one error in 94 games while manning first base. Aguilar is the first Clipper all-star since 2012.

**Playoff Picture**

Columbus is one game back of the Indianapolis Indians in the division race, but they have a 4.5 game lead in the wild card race over the Gwinnett Braves. The Indians come into town Monday and Tuesday and then Columbus travels to Indianapolis for two games.

**On Base Machine**

Columbus Clippers OF Tyler Holt leads the IL in on base percentage. Holt has a .379 OBP, good for first in the league. Matt Hague of the Buffalo Bisons was leading, but he is now with the Toronto Blue Jays.

**Home Field Advantage**

Clippers are 41-24 at Huntington Park, while the Mud Hens are 25-42 on the road this season.
